This was the church of Scotland. It was built in about 1913 with help from donations from the Grants of Glenmoriston. It was closed just 2 or 3 years ago owing to the congregation dwindling away to zero. So the upkeep was too expensive, so it's being sold for a private house. The last minister here was Mr Buell, who lived in Glen Urquhart and did both churches. But before that the Reverend Peter Fraser who stayed in the manse up here was the minister for Glenmoriston for 30 years or so. He died just a few months ago. A county councillor and a district councillor here for many years. He was a great asset to the village. When he retired he went to Kiltarlity to his boyhood home. He was heir to a croft there and he died there.
