ATTRACTION OF MONSTER
The road traffic census taken in the Inverness district for seven days in August shows a tremendous increase of motor traffic in the Highlands, and more especially on Loch Ness side. Along the Glasgow-Inverness road there has been an increase of 160 per cent over the census of 1931. This increase, it is stated, is mainly due to the world-wide interest in the Loch Ness monster, although it is added that the new Glenalbyn and Glencoe roads have contributed their share.
Other interesting facts are that hikers in thousands have visited the North and that the increase in pedal cycling has enormously increased.
The following are the figures for 1935 and 1931.
