Orain a Thaobh Loch Nis
These songs are from a Gaelic radio broadcast from around 1960, and introduced by the great scholar of Gaelic song Willie Matheson. They are chosen from the book "Story and Song of Loch Ness Side" by another Gaelic scholar, Alasdair MacDonald from Achnaconeran. He heard these songs in Glenmoriston and though there is no music in his priginal book, he set out the tunes in his manuscripts and some of them are in the more recent edition of his book. Some of the tunes are also set out in the research done recently by Munro Gauld and Ceit Langhorne and performed recently (2022) at the "Glen of the Bards" concert. The songs here are sung by Evelyn Chaimbeul and Alasdair NacGillIosa.
